[Crowe manages to drag himself out of the house for school, but he's obviously just not all there mentally the next few days. He's zoning out in class, anyone who tries to talk to him might have to call his name two or three times till he hears you. He'll always do his best to put on a smile when you talk to him though, but it's a little forced.

He will be checking up on all his friends in school too, during lunch and between/after classes, making sure everyone is okay.

Getting killed twice in three days, and watching Ema, Hol, Ash and even little Pikachu get murdered by the hazmats in front of him is a hard thing to shake off. All he could do the day after was hide in his burnt-out room, so on top of all that, he was feeling somewhat ashamed of himself, and useless.

After school though, he has some calls to make.]

I heard your voice on that call the other day on that call... are you okay? Is it... alright if I speak with you about what happened?

Ah, I'm going to hold you to what you said, you know. [A light chuckle.] They're playing some choice movies this weekend at the drive-in. I'm going to be there, if you care to join.

[Later that night, Crowe can be found at the drive-in, sitting on the hood of his not!family's car, bundled up in a blanket. The movie in question is Teenagers from Outer Space - pretty much the worst of the worst. As much as he was glad none of his friends from home were suffering through living in Mayfield, it made him miss his friend Clyde, who ate up bad movies like this. He would have loved this one. If you happen to be by the theater, feel free to join him.]

[He gives you a somewhat surprised look for a moment, then gives a bit of a nervous chuckle.]

[Kakyoin shrugs and smiles.]

He could be taller, I guess.

[He shrugs a bit himself, chuckling.] Maybe.

Well, then. I guess I'll see you whenever he starts holding practice again.

[A nod.] Of course. It'll probably be just a day or two off…

Oh, that's good. I was looking forward to it. I feel like my muscles need some use.

I know the feeling. That's why I'm usually at the rec center too.

Well, I spent a lot of time fighting before I came here, and I'm worried I'll get lazy if I don't stay in shape.

Ah, really? I've been doing combat training with Jecht too. I-I don't have any powers or abilities like a lot of people here, so I wanted to at least be able to defend myself.

That's good! I don't have any powers or anything... at the moment.

Mayfield just hasn't given them back to you yet, I take it?

Right. Not that I'll use them for anything.

No? Can I ask what it is…?

Ah... [A touchy subject requires some privacy. Kakyoin glances around the hallway, and steps back into the Biology classroom, hoping Crowe will follow.]

If you don't mind not telling anyone; you've already experienced it, and it wouldn't be right to not inform you.

[Oh. That.

[There's a pause, and to Crowe it may seem obvious that Kakyoin has done something; however, nothing looks different.]

This is my Stand, Hierophant Green. He's standing right in front of you. I'm afraid you can't quite touch him at the moment, and I'll assume you can't see him.

He's a part of me. I've had him all my life. Of course, he can normally do lots of things, but for now he's simply like a copy of me. A greener copy. [He chuckles a bit.]

[He does look a bit confused. But then he shakes his head.]

No, I can't see him. Is he… ah, what is he?

[This sort of power is foreign to him.]

He's a Stand. It's sort of like... a manifestation of energy, perhaps. Abdul-san compared it to ESP.

He's green and white, like a watermelon, and usually he's very flexible; I can use him to trip people, to trap them, even to control them from the inside. Usually, that is. Right now, he's just a terrible brawler right along with me, it seems.

[As Kakyoin speaks, Hierophant seems to be looking himself over. Crowe is missing quite a show.]

Wow, that's pretty cool, actually. I've never heard of anything like it. Ah, outside of novels, anyway. [He gives a small smile.]

My friend from back home… he can actually control shadows. It's really incredible. And another friend of mine is really strong. But I've never heard of anything quite like this.

Really? There are Stands that can do that... Stands than can regress your age, ones that can destroy you with a touch, as well. Jojo has one, too, but if you don't mind keeping quiet about that...

Whoa. Well my friends never mentioned a, uh, Stand? But I think it's clear we don't come from the same place.

I'd imagine it's like manga... You can have different concepts that are very well the same, but they're called something different. Like every world is a story, you know?

Ah, sorry. [He points to the teacher's desk casually.] "Mr. Kujo"

[He thinks on that, then shrugs a bit.] Does seem like it, doesn't? So many people here sound like they come from movies or books, with all the fantastic places they come from, or powers they have... yourself included now, Kakyoin. Maybe myself, with what my friends back home can do... but I suppose that makes me a background character? [He chuckles a bit.]

It's true. For me, it's strange to be the norm rather than the exception. I had no idea--if what you say is true--that so many people here are somehow "special". I've only known others like me for a handful of months. I think the good thing is that we all have a place, even if it is in the background.
