[Like a few other folks in town, something is up with Crowe. The usually bright paperboy, who chats pleasantly with everyone, is skulking about town looking downright volitile. Anyone who approaches him will be met with unusual hostility and bitter remarks.

He'll be still going about his usual business though. He'll show up to blitzball and combat practice with Jecht and his friends. He'll be absolutely ruthless today though, especially while fighting. Enjoy, Jecht!

Even after that, he can be found in the rec center, using the boxing equipment there, fiercely pummeling the practice bags. His fists, by this point, are raw and are starting to bleed. Occasionally, he stops and grabs his head, looking like he might be a bit dizzy. A small part of him is telling him that something is wrong, VERY wrong. But it's quickly quashed. This is the way he is now. The way he always should have been. Right?]

And yet it has just as often been you who responds to me as much as the other way around.

[A very, very slight grin. It's hard to tell if he's being good natured or mocking.]

I'd have believed you'd enjoyed my company.

[There's an eyetwitch to that.]

Y-yeah, well... y-you've become an annoyance. Like everyone else in this town.

[There's a flash of confusion in his eyes, just for a second, but he shakes it off fast, going back to angry.]

Everyone in this town is just... rotten. Haven't you learned that yet? I'm digusted with myself that it's taken this long for me to realize. But you'd do your best to take my advice and keep to yourself. People in this town are worthless.

[He's less then amused by that statement. Something's happened, and it's both refreshingly challenging and agitating that he's unable to immediately tell what that what is.]

All men have worth. How might you define them as worthless?

You've talked with these people. They're so selfish. They say they care about getting out of here when they're just... doing frivolous nonsense. Half of them are just.. terrible people. I live in a house with a bunch of bloody psychopaths. This whole place is just... [He searches for the word and doesn't find it. He rubs his eyes, like he has a headache.]

I'm just bloody sick of them all.

And yet, for your claims of their selfishness, are your own statements themselves not inherently selfish?

I told you not to start that shite. I've stopped caring if they are or not. So what if it's selfish. So is everyone else here!

And so, instead of trying to raise yourself up, you'll instead choose to sink down with the rest of what you despise.

How boring.

[Ouch. He's really ticked now.]

I don't need these people! I am better than them, and I don't need them to get along here. I can handle this place myself.

How amusing.

[Well now he's just diogusted with you. He makes some scoffing noise, and turns to storm away.]

[He just watches you leave for a moment, smirking a little. Before you can get out of hearing range, he makes sure to take the next shot.]

[Whirls around]

I said that if this is the mindset you intend to partake in, you are a worthless being.

All things need another, whether it be one or one hundred. To believe otherwise shows yourself as an incomplete existence. Weak. Worthless.

[Oh he is just livid now.]

You think you just know everything, don't you! Just remember that here in Mayfield, you're just a worthless piece of trash like the rest of us.

Your personal view of yourself does not apply to everyone else.

[Eyetwitch again.]

I... You'll see how it is! I've been here much longer than you. Too damned long. You'll see. And I'll prove I'm better than all the worthless sacks in this town.

[Damn you and your logic, Wilhelm. He doesn't have an answer for that right away. He shakes his head.]

[Still walking away.] I didn't ask for your damn opinion!
