[Crowe's getting sick of being depressed thanks to this town. Before he got here he was a bit more easy-going and pleasant. But since everything he's gone through here, he's become miserable, despite how he might act outwardly. Sure, he'll never stop being homesick, there's a murderer living in his house, and he spends every day getting his ass kicked by his combat trainer amongst everything else. But that doesn't mean that every once in awhile, Calleo Crowe can't have a good day!

Then suddenly that combat trainer gives him a week off and he has no idea what to do with himself. He remembers how mad Jecht was when Crowe asked for some time off, so it's a bit odd that Jecht would suddenly take off like that. Better not question it though.

So, what will Crowe be doing with vacation? Anything he damn well pleases. He really misses going on hikes and climbs and other outdoorsy things, and since Mayfield lacks wilderness he'll be spending almost all of his time at the park, as usual. Things he'll be up to:

- climbing up trees in the park. He was always good at climbing, and he's astounded by how much stronger he's gotten since he started his training. It's almost effortless. He'll be looking for the tallest trees in town to conquered. Maybe one's in your backyard.

- playing basketball. He's never really tried it, and he doesn't really know what he's doing. Considering how tall he his, he figures he should give it a try. By, he can't do much more than practice freethrows and jumpshots alone. He manages to actually jump up and dunk a few on occasion, looking pleased with himself. Care to join/mock/interrupt?

- hanging out at the library, doing his best to get books on detectives and investigation, both fiction and non-fiction. It's hard to find anything in the library since it tailors itself to each person's stereotype, so he'll be looking for help.

- ever the night owl, Crowe's out on the town after dark too. He usually doesn't stay at his own home, feeling way too uncomfortable to sleep there thanks to Mukuro and the droned Sniper. Mukuro was acting like a drone - like a very, very weird drone - but Crowe wasn't buying it. And Sniper trying to act like his dad was almost worse, somehow. So, Crowe will be camping out at the park. He's got himself a small tent, sleeping bag and lantern. His cat is curled up next to him on a pillow as he reads his library books.

- and of course, your papers are always delivered on a timely rate every morning!

During all of these though, he seems a bit distracted. He's got a lot on his mind lately and often drifts into thought. Sometimes the basketballs are thrown way over the hoop, or a newspaper hits your window. Or possibly you.

Feel free to bug him whenever!

Hmm. Well...I'll make sure my forest is alright! And if Brendan and Pangur Ban come to visit, I'll spend all day with them!

Your forest? You live in one, then?

[identity profile] wolf-faerie.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yes! It's the loveliest forest in Ireland.

[She's not biased at all, nope.]

[identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
Ireland! I thought so. [He grins.] I was born there, you know, my parents too. Sadly though we move a lot, so I never spent much time there I'm afraid.

[identity profile] wolf-faerie.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 12:51 am (UTC)(link)
Really? Where do you live now?

[identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Before I got here, I'd been in the US for about 8 or 9 months. But mostly I've lived in Europe, and mostly Italy and Germany.

[identity profile] wolf-faerie.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
Oh. Lots of places I've never heard of.

Why did you have to travel so much?

[identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
Ah. For my parents' jobs. Always kept them on the road, so mostly I spent time with my Uncle Marco...

...you really never heard of them? [He looks confused.] I'm surprised. I'm guessing you never traveled much...?

[identity profile] wolf-faerie.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
[She shakes her head.] No, I've never left Ireland. There are people here from lots of places I've never heard of.

[identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, well there are people here who come from places not on Earth at all. Or... just not from the same one, if that makes any sense. I mean, there's a woman in my house here who is technically an alien. She's from another planet entirely.

[identity profile] wolf-faerie.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Alien...? [She still doesn't fully understand the concept of different worlds, much less different planets.]

What's a planet?

[identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 01:32 am (UTC)(link)
[Furrows his brow a moment, thinking of how to explain this.]

Ah, well.. [Points skyward] Out there, in space, there's other planets. Most don't have people living on them, but well, I guess some do. That's where Natu is from. Not any place on earth, but a different world entirely.

[identity profile] wolf-faerie.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
So they're like stars, then? With people living on them?

[identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
[Nods. Close enough. He's starting to guess you come from a much different time than him.]

Kind of, yeah. All the planets closest to Earth don't have people on them, so that means she comes from a place pretty far away. Amazing, eh?

[identity profile] wolf-faerie.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
[His guess isn't far off. She's from the 800s.]

...that really is far away.

[identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com 2010-07-26 02:14 am (UTC)(link)
[Nods again] Very. It's hard to even comprehend it. I mean, normally where I'm from, people from other planets are the stuff of stories. Fiction. It's really great to meet people like that here. I mean, there's even a person in town here I have read a story about! Where I come from, he's fiction. It's incredible.
