If so, a tall teenager will shyly approach you. He's carrying a newspaper bag, but instead of the daily news, there are pamphlets poking out. He has a quiet voice and a light Irish accent.]

Ah, um, excuse me. Couldn't help but notice that you, um, seem to be feeling your out of place. I can explain, if you's like.

Um.

N-No one's seriously considering the position of police chief, right? It's so suspicious... what if you get droned into the role, like Grad-- er, Evan Olney probably was?

[Even though he's going, AND he has a date, all this prom stuff is giving Crowe a bit of a headache. He still has some prep work though. So today you'll find Crowe:

A: Picking his suit up from Abel's house. He had to have it resized a bit, as he's grown since coming to Mayfield. He's looking it over, smiling, as he walks home. It's a gorgeous dark blue suit - a $1,500 tailored Armani one, to be exact, sent from home awhile ago. Such a spoiled rich kid. He stops in the men's clothing store too, to see if he can pick out a new shirt and tie to go with it, but he's not looking too hopeful.

B: Poking his head into the barber shop, looking really unsure about this. His hair is always long and in his face, though... maybe he should really get it cut. He's always worn it like this, though. Any hairstylists care to approach?

C: Looking through various shop windows, thinking hard. When it came to proms, guys would buy girls a corsage as a gift. But what happens when a guy is taking another guy? What's the protocol for this situation? Does he even need to get anything? Why isn't there a pamphlet for this sort of thing? He looks frustrated, sighing. Want to help him out?

D: Once he's done all that, it's time to relax and get his mind off of things. Everyone keeps telling him it's something he really needs to do. When his uncle Marco said he needed to de-stress, he'd always take Crowe fishing with him. There's a lack of lakes or ocean in Mayfield, so Crowe is sitting on the edge of the pond in the park. He's got a homemade pole and line, and he's got his feet in the water. His iPhone sits next to him, playing some music. For once, he looks like he's enjoying himself. Care to join?]

[Action: Crowe's been in a miserable mood the last few days. If anyone inquires about it, he'll wave it off, though. But in an effort to cheer himself up - and to head off any shenanigans Mayfield has in store for the fourteeth - Crowe will be out on the town today handing out Valentine's gifts to everyone. He'll be walking around the downtown area shops and the park. Even if he doesn't know you, he'll pass one off to you with a smile and a "Happy Valentine's Day". It's just 4 small heart-shaped sugar cookies, wrapped in red cellophane. Enjoy your sweets, Mayfield!]

I hear a lot of people talking about seeing Smirnov all over town. I saw him too, but he disappeared before I could reach him. But when have people seen him? It sounds like everyone saw him on Thursday... but what about after that? And I'm also curious if anyone managed to get some info from him, or if he just kept vanishing....

... you know, Grady can do that too. The teleporting thing. I'd seen him do it not long after I got here. But he obviously has control over it.

Ah, so, Halloween is approaching! I went to a Halloween party last year with my friend Minnie's house.... It was a lot of fun. It would be great if we could have one here. Is anyone out there throwing a costume party? It doesn't have to be a big deal, just something for fun... I'd offer, but, ah, I-I don't think my house here would be good for it. I also wonder if the theaters will play some horror films... if the 1950s were good for anything, it was good for ridiculous monster flicks!

[Despite the continual dronings going on amongst his friends and allies, Crowe's doing his best to stay chipper. It's... really really tough. He was feeling pretty lonely coming to school and seeing the blank face of a drone on so many of his friends and classmates lately. Maybe some would come back, but he had a hard time staying optimistic. A-and it would be selfish for him to want them here when they've gone home now, right...?

Well, he was glad the dance went off without a hitch at least, pleasantly drone-free, and even if he really didn't get a chance to dance with anyone, he still had a good time. Moreover, was glad that *others* had a good time and a chance to relax.

But, there was a lot going on recently that overshadowed everything else. He was beating himself up for not going to the Smith's party. Threat of grievous injury aside, how could he miss such an opportunity to investigate? And then that phonecall from the Mayor....]

I heard about some of the things that happened at the Smiths' house... I hope everyone is feeling better. And that we managed to get some info from it. Anything gets us one step closer to getting to the bottom of this.

So... who or what "escaped", do you think? I can't... it's hard to think someone would have made it out of here without more of us knowing...

Oh, before I forget. This weekend we're having a blitzball game at the rec center. If anyone is interested in checking out our very first game, please do! We'd love to have some fans in the stands. And if anyone on the team wants to get some extra practice in, just let me know. I'd be glad to help.

Ah. D-does anyone want to just... hang out in the park after school today? Or... hit up the diner or something? Just... whatever.

Obviously these invitations from the Smiths are a bit suspicious. Is anyone attending? Are there any plans regarding it?

...Oh! So, the Homecoming dance is soon! I'm helping get it ready. Is there anything you all would like to see there? I'll do my best to make sure everyone has a good time, so I'm open to suggestions!

Ah, also, there are some tailors or seamstresses in town, correct? I recently got some clothing back from home, but it seems I've grown a bit since I got here. Can, um, anyone help me alter them a bit? I can pay you, of course. I'd like to have one of my suits ready to wear for the dance this Friday... I hope that's enough time.

[Crowe can be found two places recently!

One is City Hall. He's shown up during the day and asks any drone who comes by if there's any way to get a tour, using his most charming smile. He says it's for a school report that he was supposed to do over the summer, which is a good enough excuse for him getting away with taking notes. In reality he's scoping out the joint, noting exits and any security issues, but his lips are sealed on that fact.

The other is back in the park, where he pretty much camps out all the time now. Besides reading, playing soccer or martial arts practice, today Crowe's trying a new hobby: kite flying. He's never really tried it before and it's not going as well as he'd hoped. Usually he's climbing up a tree or telephone pole to untangle it, or it's careening out of control in a sudden breeze. Better look out, because it's headed your way!

When he's home for those brief times to avoid droning (showers are also good), he'll put out a call to the town as well.]

School will be starting up again soon enough... I'll be a junior this year. But a lot of people have come and gone over the summer... do we have any new students and teachers in town? I was thinking of maybe joining a club, but I don't know what...

Ah! Right! Um, a lot of people have been talking about the frustrations with the library lately. It's almost impossible to find anything in there. But, would anyone by chance have any detective books on them? Or can find them there? Fiction or non-fiction is fine. _{Maybe someday the town will return my books to me...}

Sniper... he's been droned since before we even got back from... that other place. I... I figured I should let you know, just in case, it's, uh, permanent. I know a lot of you were planning with him, or were his, uh, coworkers or whatever, so I figured I should give you a warning...

[He wasn't Sniper's biggest fan by any stretch, but the non-drone version was much better. Drone!Sniper was seriously giving him the creeps, and now he had one less defense in the house against Mukuro.]

[Crowe felt terrible for not checking on him sooner, but he was sort of in a haze since he got back from Soviet Mayfield. He had lost track of time.]

[There's a lot of people Crowe was worried about, and would at least stop by while out on his paper route. Margot, Nadia, Lucas, Kay, Seychelles, Touma, Massimo, Vince, Kid.... so many bad things happened to good people here. ((And if there's anyone the mun's forgotten, forgive me and post anyway~)) Having friends in Mayfield was a double-edged sword, wasn't it?

Naturally he had blitzball and combat practice with Jecht, too. He tried his best to make sure that he didn't overexert himself and reopen the recently-stitched chest wound he'd gotten in Soviet Mayfield. But he made no mention of it, either.

Finally, Crowe can be found at the park, relaxing and reading under a tree, his cat asleep at his side. Quite often he drifts off into thought... and then catches a glance of a tractor cow down the way. ...What was the deal with those things?]

[Someone's been spreading himself a bit too thin in an effort to keep himself distracted about being held prisoner in Mayfield. Crowe's schedule has been busy - training with Constable Crane starting before dawn, then his paper route, then school, followed by blitzball practice, homework, and time at the park to play some soccer or read, and then to bed pretty late at night. He's barely been in his house, as being there made him uncomfortable. He wasn't sleeping or eating much, and was starting to feel exhausted. He'll still be the utmost pleasant to anyone he talks to, with smiles all around, but some might not help but notice the weariness underneath. Most notably, the teacher's pet here has been nodding off in class. And now he has to attend Sniper's camping trip, since he doesn't trust him to not do anything dangerous with the kids in town....]

U-um, hi everyone, sorry that I haven't gotten anything official together regarding the football club. Soccer club. Whichever. My schedule's just been, um, fuller than expected. Who knew being held prisoner would keep you so busy? [He chuckles nervously.] A-anyway. I hope to have more news on it soon. It seems like there's a lot of folks interested, which is great to hear!

Also, uh, did anyone get calls from outside of town? I talked to two gentleman not from Mayfield, I was wondering if it was just me, or if it was some kind of prank... it almost seemed too good to be true, right? It was April Fool's Day, after all...
