[Crowe manages to drag himself out of the house for school, but he's obviously just not all there mentally the next few days. He's zoning out in class, anyone who tries to talk to him might have to call his name two or three times till he hears you. He'll always do his best to put on a smile when you talk to him though, but it's a little forced.

He will be checking up on all his friends in school too, during lunch and between/after classes, making sure everyone is okay.

Getting killed twice in three days, and watching Ema, Hol, Ash and even little Pikachu get murdered by the hazmats in front of him is a hard thing to shake off. All he could do the day after was hide in his burnt-out room, so on top of all that, he was feeling somewhat ashamed of himself, and useless.

After school though, he has some calls to make.]

[Call filtered to: Ema Skye]
Ema... I just wanted to see how you were doing.

[Call filtered to: Wilhelm]
I heard your voice on that call the other day on that call... are you okay? Is it... alright if I speak with you about what happened?

[Call filtered to: Norway]
Ah, I'm going to hold you to what you said, you know. [A light chuckle.] They're playing some choice movies this weekend at the drive-in. I'm going to be there, if you care to join.

[Later that night, Crowe can be found at the drive-in, sitting on the hood of his not!family's car, bundled up in a blanket. The movie in question is Teenagers from Outer Space - pretty much the worst of the worst. As much as he was glad none of his friends from home were suffering through living in Mayfield, it made him miss his friend Clyde, who ate up bad movies like this. He would have loved this one. If you happen to be by the theater, feel free to join him.]

[[OOC - This mun is also going to the DC rally for the weekend! Tagging might be slow between Fri. night & Sun. night, sorry! ALSO, I will stop spamming entries with him after this, orz]]

[Aaaand one time skip later, Chouno turns up right next to Crowe.

Like, right next to him. He's gotten very good at being difficult to detect, so it seems like he's just appeared, leaning on the car.]

Hello.

From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
[Well that's 1 thing they have in common: sneakyness. But Crowe's not really with it lately, and while watching the movie he doesn't even notice Chouno until he speaks. This catches him off guard.]

A-ah! Oh, Chouno... ha, you could have given me a heart attack.

[He smiles just a little bit at that.]

Nonsense. Besides, this is a horror movie. You came to be scared, right?

Date: 2010-10-29 06:29 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
[He chuckles.]

Ah, this movie? It wouldn't scare anyone. It's pretty terrible.

[He uses an arm to vault up on top of the car, sitting cross legged on the roof instead of the hood.]

A poor choice of words, considering terrible means to bring terror.

What have I missed?

From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
That's true. How about "miserably boring" then?

Um, the main character is, well, a tennager from outer space. That other guy is trying to hunt him down. He has a ray gun that turns people into skeletons. Ah, admittedly I haven't been paying the best attention, but I don't think it quite matters.

From: [identity profile] withmorelove.livejournal.com
Perhaps, but I find a bad movie to be something far better than a good one. They make you think more.

Hm. Fairly standard, I suppose.

From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
If anything, they tend to be funnier. I have a friend back home who loves awful movies like this. He'd love this one. I'd wager he's even seen it already.

From: [identity profile] withmorelove.livejournal.com
[He doesn't care about your friend, Crowe.]

Oh. Well, appreciating bad things helps you deal with them.

Date: 2010-10-29 07:45 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
[Of course not, but Crowe wouldn't notice.]

Ah, well I don't know if that's the reason when it comes to bad movies. It's not like anyone forces them on you.

Well, this town sort of does... we don't get much selection here. Same films over and over....

From: [identity profile] withmorelove.livejournal.com
I was being rather general.

Hm. That's annoying...

Date: 2010-10-29 08:02 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
It does stand for most other things, though...

It's the same movies at the regular theater too. [He frowns a bit. He's been in this town too long.] That's why I'm glad we have the blitzball team, at least. Something different and fun to do.

Date: 2010-10-29 08:06 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] withmorelove.livejournal.com
[He makes a tiny scoff, almost silent, at 'fun'. He hates Blitzball, but to hell is he quitting when it keeps his mind off all the other things he can hate.]

Speaking of different things, Jecht said you might like a new sparring partner.

Date: 2010-10-29 08:10 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
Oh, he did? Mm, I suppose that's true. I've only been sparring with Jecht for... well, for months now. Trying against someone else would be a good learning experience.

Date: 2010-10-29 08:21 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] withmorelove.livejournal.com
[He resists an urge to kick Crowe in the head and start a fight right there. That would be hilarious.]

Mm, well, he's going to give me some training. I thought I'd tell you.

Date: 2010-10-29 09:51 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
[He may be an uber-polite derp, but Jecht has whipped Crowe into shape very well. Chouno might get more than he bargained for!]

Cool. He's pretty good. I'm glad that he's been nice enough to teach me. I ah.... don't have any crazy powers or abilities like most others here, so I wanted to be able to at least defend myself...

[Not that it did a whole lot of good when things got really ugly. Not in this town.]

Date: 2010-10-29 10:06 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] withmorelove.livejournal.com
Mm. I don't either, so I suppose that will put us at a more level playing ground.

[He says 'more level' because Chouno is the Übermensch and knows it.]

Date: 2010-10-29 10:13 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
Ah, good. I was put in the fighting tournament against a girl who used electricity powers... that was over pretty quick.

[He suppresses a shutter. Man, that stung.]

Date: 2010-10-29 10:20 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] withmorelove.livejournal.com
Well, that is unfair. Humans can't compete with superhumans, by definition.

Date: 2010-10-29 10:25 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
[He shrugs a little.] They didn't break it up that way, I guess it would have been too hard. I-I knew I wouldn't win that contest anyway, not by any stretch. But I wanted to try.

Date: 2010-10-29 10:48 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] withmorelove.livejournal.com
I guess it's more realisitic that way. Being in unwinnable situation is, anyway.

Date: 2010-10-31 02:33 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
It's okay. I just have to train more, I suppose.

Date: 2010-10-31 01:20 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] withmorelove.livejournal.com
You really think it's just as simple as that?

[He doesn't sound mocking-just a little confused.]

Date: 2010-10-31 03:53 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] perfektsymmetry.livejournal.com
W-Well, it's not like I'm going to wake up one day and have super powers, so I have to do whatever I can to get stronger on my own… If I can think fast enough and move fast enough against people who do, I'll have a better chance.

A-ah, not that it matters against Mayfield in the end…

[No one in his house would have against the hazmats. Or anyone else in town, super powers or not.]

Date: 2010-10-31 04:32 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] withmorelove.livejournal.com
Hm.

Thinking about it, there isn't any point really. Even if you're weak enough that you die, you just come back. It's not even really a penalty.

[Says the person who really enjoyed dying.]
