Obviously these invitations from the Smiths are a bit suspicious. Is anyone attending? Are there any plans regarding it?

...Oh! So, the Homecoming dance is soon! I'm helping get it ready. Is there anything you all would like to see there? I'll do my best to make sure everyone has a good time, so I'm open to suggestions!

Ah, also, there are some tailors or seamstresses in town, correct? I recently got some clothing back from home, but it seems I've grown a bit since I got here. Can, um, anyone help me alter them a bit? I can pay you, of course. I'd like to have one of my suits ready to wear for the dance this Friday... I hope that's enough time.

I've just told them that I'm too busy with the planning committee to find anyone yet. I'm not home much anyway so I can avoid them for the most part, at least. I'm just glad my actual parents were always okay with it.
