[Since the big April Fool's Day reveal, Crowe has been in a pretty rotten mood. Most of the time, he just goes to school, not really talking to anyone or paying attention, and going as far as to avoid people completely. During the whole debacle he was killed twice, and he shot two people as well - one of those being his "father" who had also gunned him down outside the highway diner. To make matters worse, our intrepid wannabe investigator pushed himself so hard to find clues or be of any help, and completely failed to find anything. On top of that, the whole thing was a ruse anyway, and now Crowe feels like there's nothing anyone can ever do to get ahead in this town. Clues and information cannot be trusted since Mayfield can so easily manipulate everyone in town. He feels more useless than ever.

Fine then, he thinks. If this is the case, he might as well stick to what he's good at, or at least what he knows. He doesn't consider him to be a good thief, but he's better at it than he thinks...]


[Crowe's up to a lot the next few days. You'll find him:

A) Skipping classes and curiously lingering in the lunch rooms and hallways of Mayfield High. He hasn't practiced pickpocketing in ages, and wants to get back into the habit. Although rusty, he's good at it. He'll be aiming for drones, students and teachers alike, but outright avoiding friends. He won't be going for anything too big, just watches, wallets, easily accessed jewelry, things like that. Of course, with all the new people incoming recently, he might not realize you're a drone, and today you might be missing something from your pocket or schoolbag.

After classes, he'll be out on a parkbench sorting through what he has, mostly looking uninterested in it... unless he happened to find something valuable or different. He's making no effort to hide this, either. Feel free to approach.

B) At the rec center, giving the boxing equipement one hell of a beating. Thanks to constant practice, he's actually getting pretty good, but he looks pretty exhausted. He uses a strange combination of tawkwondo moves and out and out vicious street brawling. Sparring partners, anyone?

C) Sitting up in a tree in the park, reading a novel. A white tomcat lounges with him. The trees are only budding, so he can be seen easily up there. Now that the weather's warming up again, this is where he spends any free time he manages to find. Occasionally he stops to look at and fiddle with a small metal pendant on a chain he's using as a bookmark. Strange for someone so young to look nostalgic, but that's the only way to describe the look he's giving it.

[Facing Garvi, Crowe now just begins to throw a round of punchs as fast as he can. He's expecting him to block them, but he wants to see how fast he can go when againt another person.]

[he smoothly blocks, absorbing the punishment without flinching, letting Crowe let off some steam.]

Indeed.

[he looks a little distant as he puts Crowe through his paces, content to just fall back into the pattern of his former position as a Scout Sergeant.]

[Crowe notices this, and finally rolls to the side a bit, trying to deliver a kick to Garvi's side.]

[Garviel steps back, eyes on Crowe.]

A good trick, but do not rely on it. Do you know how to feint?

[The kid who learned to brawl from Jecht? Not bloody likely.]

N-Not really, I guess.

All right then, I shall teach you. A feint is a strike that is not at full force, but is at full speed. You force the opponent to commit to a block, moving them out of position for your true attack. It will allow you to open their defenses. Try now, if you would.

[He thinks for a moment, then does as told. He throws a fast punch, but if Garviel goes to block it, he'll switch tit up for a low kick.]

[he nods approvingly as he is struck by the kick. It's like kicking an oak.]

Good.

[he is thoughtful for a moment, switches his stance, and states:]

You have been trained before. Who trained you?

A man named Jecht. He's been gone a long time now... currently I've been learning some martial arts with Taiwan as well.

I am sorry for your loss then. Let us continue. [he's now ready to receive more attacks.]

[He's looking pretty tired. He had been at the rec center for a few hours before this, even. But, he gets into a tawkwondo stance now, before throwing a combo of punches and kicks.]

[Garviel receives them, letting crowe tire himself out, trying to teach even as he stops or absorbs the blow, encouraging him with a smile or nod now and then.]

[After a few minutes, he backs off, panting.]

Ah... okay. I-I think I'm good for now. Thanks, sir.
