A lot of people have come into town recently. This is pretty odd, considering they usually trickle in instead of coming in so close together... it makes me wonder what are captors are up to.

At any rate, ah, to all the new people out there? My name is Crowe, and if you need any help, let me know. I've been here a long time now, so I can fill you in on any details if you like. There's also a pamphlet available if you haven't seen it. I know some others have been handing them out, and I've been leaving them in mailboxes as well. If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask. It's fair that everyone who comes into this town knows what they've been brought into. Valentine's Day is coming up next month, and ah, things tend to get a bit ugly around holidays here. Don't trust anything the town just drops off in your house overnight, alright?



Ah, Mr. Holmes? I've finished up that copy of the journal I was talking about. If you want, I can just leave it in your mailbox as well. Whatever is convenient for you.





Ah. Um. I-I was wondering if you'd like to do something this weekend. It's my birthday this weekend, you see, and... well I don't want to make a big deal out of it, but it would be nice to, um, maybe do dinner or the movies or something?



[Action! Crowe will be found at the park today, despite the snow and cold, as he hates being inside so much. He'll be out today practicing the tae kwon do he's been learning from Taiwan in a clearing he's made in the snow. He's still new at it, but he's in good shape and a dedicated student, so he's doing pretty well. Care to interrupt/say hi/challenge?]

(Stands and offer his hand. Jacob himself speaks with a vague, barely detectable mid-western-ish accent.)

You must be Crowe. I heard your welcome message on the phone. That's very thoughtful of you.

(If Crowe doesn't mention seeing the pamphlet, he certainly isn't. The less they talk about it, the quicker the incident is sure to pass from Crowe's mind.)

Ah, yes, I am. Really, it's not a problem. Everyone in town deserves to know what's going on. Um, if you have any questions not covered by that pamphlet, I'll be glad to answer. [He does look a bit sheepish at mentioning it. He doesn't want to be rude.]

Of course not, but any attempts to organize are... slow. There's several groups though. But a lot of people come in and out of this place so often, that it's hard to keep plans in motion for long...

[He chuckles at that.] No, there isn't. Um, well, things are sort of... disorganized lately. I think we're trying to regroup. Major General Armstrong was when she was here... [He's not aware she's back yet.] I'm sure if you ask around, someone will speak up. To be honest, I... have just been working on my own as much as possible. Only because people get sent home too often, we lose a lot of ground that way.

(Jacob's current assessment of this so called resistance movement is "destroying it would be like shooting fish in a barrel". Better hopes he's more interested in a challenge than saving his own skin.)
