[After reading his letter, listening to a few phone calls, and briefly feeling like he was going to be physically ill, Crowe heads to the phones himself.]
I suppose I've been here long enough to know better than to get on the line to beg and plead with you all. No matter how many times I ask for people to not fall to Mayfield's plots, to not succumb to violence, but there's always those out there who don't listen. They're not just going to magically grant your wishes. Don't believe it. So, I-I ask everyone out there to just stay safe. Stay inside, in your rooms. This will... have to be over e-eventually. If anyone out there needs help, please call me. I'll do whatever I can.
As for my target, you're safe. I refuse to kill anyone for anything, especially just for my own gain.
[Of course, Crowe goes out and immediately breaks his own word. He's mostly sticking to the shadows, unseen, watching out for any signs of trouble. The good thing about not having powers in the first place is not being reliant on them, and he's had some fantastic combat tutors while in Mayfield. However, it occasionally leaves him out in the open. He's armed, so his would-be assassin, Conchita, better approach carefully.]
